Gregory Poole Equipment Company, Inc. Laboratory Technician II (Fluid Analysis) in Raleigh, North Carolina

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Performs all laboratory functions concerning oil sampling, testing and lab administration and demonstrates an ability to trouble shoot problems which develops with the laboratory instrumentation. Provides quality backup support in at least one of the following: registration, interpretation or lab activity coordination.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Routine administrative support
  • Operates all SOS Lab equipment
  • Conducts daily oil samples analysis and provides support in trouble-shooting problems with the equipment
  • Manages database system
  • Attends training sessions
  • Participates with supervisor in the daily coordination of laboratory activities

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:

Education:

High school graduate

Work Experience:

At least 4 years laboratory experience

Physical:

  • Has ability to routinely lift fluid samples tray weighing up to 8 pounds
  • Can stand and/or sit for excessive periods performing repetitive laboratory functions
  • Can easily move around the lab to perform fluid analysis functions on various equipment

Other:

Intermediate computer operation skill level; familiar with Microsoft Office software
