Bolton & Menk has a great opportunity for anEnvironmental-Graduate Engineerto join our Raleigh team that will work on a variety of projects that will provide safe, sustainable, and beautiful solutions for the communities we serve. Our diverse team of experts is passionate about making a positive impact.

As a Environmental Graduate Engineer, you will work with an experienced team of Project Managers and Project Engineers on many a variety of environmental related projects including designs, technical specifications, plan reviews, construction inspections and CAD activities. This role provides a unique chance to apply your academic knowledge, gain practical experience, and make a meaningful contribution.

What You Will be Doing:

  • Performing basic design computations.

  • Performing preliminary layout, modeling, and design.

  • Developing hydrologic and hydraulic models.

  • Researching and preparing rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies.

  • Assisting with project design and preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and quantity take-offs.

  • Occasionally performing detailed construction observation and project documentation.

What We Are Looking For:

  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college

  • Certified Engineer-in-Training (within 12 months of employment)

  • Effective interpersonal written & verbal communication skills.

  • Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Advanced math skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. (MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint)

  • Developing knowledge of specialized design software. (i.e. hydrocad, xpswmm)

  • Possess a valid driver's license.

Preferred skills:

  • Master's Degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering (Water/Wastewater Treatment).

  • GIS coursework or experience.

  • Familiarity with treatment plans and a working knowledge of Electrical Systems and HVAC
