Eaton Corporation Global Technical Program Manager in Raleigh, North Carolina

Eaton is seeking an experienced Global Technical Program Manager for the Power Electronics (PE) and Battery Center of Excellence (CoE) team located in Raleigh, NC. The position does offer relocation assistance.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $128,250 - $188,100 a year.

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s PE-Battery CoE accelerates the company’s growth through the development of new technology, platforms and common hardware building blocks that are scalable, cost-effective, and manufacturable, as well as standardized design methodologies that can be adopted by multiple business units, which provide a foundation for our business to develop innovative products more rapidly.

The global technical program manager will be responsible for not only developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans capturing key technical requirements and deliverables and outlining project tasks, milestones, status, and resource allocation but also developing effective cross-organization relationships, efficient collaboration, and communication across business and with stakeholders. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, a power electronics background and development experience, a proven track record in successful project management and implementation, and leadership skills capable of leading a cross-functional project team and communicating with stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans capturing key technical requirements and deliverables and outlining project tasks, milestones, status, and resource allocation

• Lead and direct projects to achieve stated goals and objectives

• Monitor and report the overall performance of projects. Develop measurable project goals and objectives and create a performance-based culture.

• Create and maintain project reports and presentations

• Develop effective cross-organization relationships, efficient collaboration, and communication across business and with stakeholders

• Contribute to and lead technical discussions as needed, with the ability to easily communicate the decisions and benefits to customers, engineers, and management

• Drive engineering excellence both in PE-Battery CoE and the BU’s teams

• Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

• Minimum 7 years of engineering experience in power electronics designs and product development

• Minimum 3 years of experience with project management with cross-functional efforts, from concept through delivery

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing comprehensive project plans with high-level technical requirements while dealing with ambiguity

• Experience working in diverse cultural situations with global customers and team members

• Design for Six Sigma certification

• Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units

• Strong working knowledge in power electronics designs, including topology, analog/digital circuits, thermal management, control, and embedded software

• Proven track record of managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously

• Excellent presentation and PowerPoint skills
