Position Overview:

UNC Pediatrics at Wakefield is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join our team. The provider will play a crucial role in providing high-quality pediatric care, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to meet the needs of our young patients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of children and families in our community.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.

  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of North Carolina, or the ability to obtain licensure.

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pediatric primary care or a related setting.

  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and families.

  • Proficiency in using Epic electronic health record (EHR) systems and other clinical software.

  • Commitment to providing patient-centered, evidence-based care in a collaborative team environment.
