Job Title: Lead Clinical Registered Veterinary Nurse

Salary: Up to £32,000 (D.O.E.)

Location: Alders Veterinary Practice in Guildford

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week, over 5 days. 1 in 5 Saturdays (8:30am - 4:30pm) with time back in during the following week. Shifts include 8am-5pm, 9am-6pm, and 10:30am-7:30pm but open to discussion on shift patterns.

Your roles and responsibilities

We are looking to expand our Nursing team here at Alders with a Lead Clinical Nurse.

After moving into our new premises in January 2022, we have continued to improve the care that we provide to our patients and clients. You will be joining an incredible team who I honestly couldn't be prouder of, and we are excited to look for an additional member! We would encourage anyone interested to come and have a little tour! We have a cat ward, dog ward, exotic ward and isolation room. We have an exotic Vet once a week to see our scaly and feathered friends, and we now have our silver ISFM award.

The Lead Clinical Nurse you will possess excellent communication skills to allow effective line management of the team along side our other Lead Nurse. A strong desire to develop nursing talent, through regular appraisals and identifying and organising appropriate learning opportunities as necessary.

We are looking for someone who has an interest in anaesthesia/theatre and Wards to help oversee these areas and always looking to improve our clinical standards, look for ongoing CPD for our team, set up protocols/SOPs and always keeping up to date on best practice and new opportunities.
