Job Summary:

Radford University invites applicants for Senior Director of Advancement Communications and Donor Relations. The Senior Director of Advancement Communications and Donor Relations at Radford University plays a crucial role within the University Advancement Division. Reporting to the Vice President of University Advancement, this position is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for setting and guiding the strategic direction of donor relations and communications initiatives. The Senior Director will oversee and mentor the Director of Donor Relations and Communications and the Associate Director of Communications. The Senior Director will have a high level of professionalism and commitment to the values of Radford University.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7- 10 years of experience in communications, donor relations, or advancement, preferably in a higher education setting.

  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and manage a team.

  • Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven strong strategic thinking and planning abilities.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing multi-channnel communication strategies.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and build consensus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in higher education or similar setting.

  • Supervision experience
