Radford University Director, Enrollment Management Data Analytics in Radford, Virginia

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Strategic Communications, the Director of Enrollment Management Data Analytics’ primary role includes extracting data values and insights from varied and broad data sources, both internal and external, available to the Enrollment Management unit and providing overall analysis that helps to inform strategic decision making for the University’s undergraduate and graduate enrollment plans. The Director will work closely with the Enrollment Management leadership team to support specific initiatives related to student recruitment and retention with a goal of analyzing data and providing projections to deepen the University’s commitment to students’ ability to enroll and be retained. The Director will lead the division in transforming data into information that will be exceptionally helpful to provide insight that better informs the overall decision-making process throughout the University.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to provide data informed solutions to Enrollment Management

  • Ability to build and sustain close and collaborative relationships with colleagues

  • Understanding of the enrollment functionality to include recruitment, financial aid and student retention

  • Ability to perform work that is highly technical including data analytics

  • Effective communication and presentation skills

  • Experience leveraging CRM to achieve enrollment success

  • Must have a team mentality and be able to operate effectively in an ever-changing environment

  • Evidence of creative projective modeling

  • Assist in providing segmented data analysis for unique populations of students at all levels for all campus locations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Predictive modeling and forecasting utilizing recruitment and enrollment data to assist with strategic decision-making for effective short- and long-term enrollment, recruitment, and persistence strategies

  • Design, create, update, and evolve existing and new analytic reports that leverage a variety of visualization and reporting tools and techniques

  • Provide analysis to predict prospective student and applicant behavior throughout their engagement, using data and metrics to gain insights on how to improve retention over time

  • Evaluate lead generation campaign performance, communicate findings, and provide strategy recommendations for optimizing performance

  • Oversee, develop, and implement data collection system strategies that optimize data efficiency and quality

  • Identify and interpret recruitment and retention trends or patterns in complex historical data sets to inform day-to-day enrollment management functions

  • Conduct a thorough analysis of daily, weekly, and monthly reports to reflect the overall performance

  • Communicate findings and results to a wide variety of audiences from University-level leadership to Enrollment Management peers

  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments and across the university entities on data-related projects and initiatives

  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and assist on special projects, as assigned by the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Strategic Communications

  • Enrollment Management division liaison with the Office of Institutional Research
