Job: Maintenance Assistant

Location: Racine, WI

Pay: $20-21/hour

POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Assistant collaborates with the Maintenance Manager and is accountable for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of buildings and equipment in support of organizational objectives.

Job Duties

  1. Conduct daily inspections of plant operating systems.

  2. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.

  3. Serve as backup for the Wastewater Operator role.

  4. Address minor electrical and plumbing repairs and enhancements.

  5. Handle snow removal and sidewalk salting.

  6. Execute light carpentry tasks.

  7. Replace light bulbs and filters as needed.

  8. Scrape, putty, and paint walls, woodwork, and fixtures.

  9. Provide assistance to other departments as required.

  10. Be available for flexible shifts and occasional overtime.

  11. Undertake additional duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Two years of prior building maintenance experience is preferred .

Pay Details: $20.00 to $21.00 per hour
