API Heat Transfer 1st Shift Welder in Racine, Wisconsin

Hiring immediately for a Welder on 1st shift (5:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)!

API Heat Transfer is looking for people who enjoy being part of transformation. We have a new mission, new leaders, and are accelerating our path to Lean Cultural Change. Our Production team is expanding, and we are seeking a Welder for first shift at our Racine location.

What You Will Do:

  • Assemble units according to blueprint prior to welding.

  • Set up and run automatic welding machines to blueprint tolerances.

  • Weld components manually using both MIG and TIG welding.

  • Position and secure work pieces using hoists.

  • Weld using a welding positioner/turntable.

  • Inspect product and equipment for defects and malfunctions.

What You Bring:

  • Proficient in GMAW (gas metal arc welding) and GTAW (gas tungsten arc welding).

  • Capable of adjusting machines to different material thickness.

  • Ability to self-manage with a diverse workload.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.

  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds.

Additional Requirements: Qualified candidates will be asked to complete a weld test to D1.2 AWS (American Welding Society, Structural Welding Code - Aluminum)
