Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

R2Net- James Allen is looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to join our growing Finance team, reporting to our Chief Financial Officer. As a Senior Analyst, you will have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills as a finance business partner through various responsibilities, including financial modeling and analysis, forecasting and budgeting, management reporting, and data analytics. You will support the CFO and other cross functional teams by building and maintaining detailed and dynamic financial models that are powered by big data to inform quarterly forecasts, budgeting/planning across the P&L, investment evaluation and prioritization, and commercial decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide data and analysis for the CFO as well as business leaders to drive key business initiatives and effectively analyze and report the financial impact on the business

  • Ensure the accuracy of the organization’s financial results by coordinating close cycle activities with Accounting and recognizing and preventing misrepresentation, concealment, or omission of information

  • Provide analytical support for business planning and development of short and long-range financial and business plans

  • Ensure planning cycle and reporting requirement deadlines are met by coordinating across multiple functions to gather, organize, and prepare required data/information within established timelines.

  • Partner with internal teams to support quarterly and annual budgeting processes, drive strategic decisions and initiative prioritization.

  • Develop, monitor, and drive deeper understanding of our KPIs across the company.

  • Prepare financial results against budget.

  • Create what-if-analyses to assess the impact of business opportunities on our long-term goals, providing insightful decision bases for senior management.

  • Maintain and quantify risks and opportunities in business performance and conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis.

  • Translate strategy into specific business initiatives and develop tools to measure and evaluate them.

  • Prepare accurate financial statement forecasts across different departments and business lines

  • Synthesize large, complex datasets, understanding variances and drawing insights

  • Use your communication and storytelling skills to frame issues effectively and translate the outputs of your financial analysis into impactful insights and compelling business recommendations

  • Ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or related field

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an FP&A role

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a drive to develop an understanding of the overall business

  • Deep understanding of how to interpret financial results and provide thoughtful analyses that will help drive strategic decisions throughout the company

  • Ability to distill data into concise takeaways for reporting to business leaders and management

  • Experience with SAP experience with other data visualization software is a plus

  • Clear written and verbal communication and influencing skills with experience in translating data into strategic recommendations.

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as a team player

  • Advanced Excel skills with a deep understanding of model architecture, formula efficiency, pivot tables, and macros

  • Savvy and experienced with forecasting, reporting, and procurement software (e.g., Adaptive, NetSuite, Coupa, etc.)

  • Prior experience with SQL/BigQuery and BI/data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau) is a plus - you will be required to eventually learn and apply these skills on the job

  • Self-starter who is proactive, intellectually curious, and not afraid to seek out projects independently

  • Base pay $90,000 - $120,000. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.
