    R eporting to VP of Operations, the Production Manager is responsible for directing resources and all activities within manufacturing to meet production goals including on-time delivery and targeted yields, as well as ensuring a high level of safety and quality compliance. The Production Manager will be responsible for reviewing, communicating and improving overall effectiveness of the manufacturing lines as well as staying within budgets.

    How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop a comprehensive production strategy/ manufacturing plan aligning with business objectives.

  • Coordinates the execution of manufacturing schedules based on customer delivery schedules, sales requirements and manufacturing capacity.

  • Maintain a constant awareness of jobs being processed, department issues and equipment malfunctions to quickly determine necessary alternatives to maintain production schedules and on-time delivery.

  • Oversees the procurement of raw materials and supplies for production.

  • Lead daily production standup meetings at the beginning of shifts with department supervisors to direct production activities and establish production priorities.

  • Provide direction, development and leadership to production supervisors to inspire, motivate, coach and develop the team.

  • Conduct employee reviews, interviews, manage conflicts and performance, recognize achievement, provide feedback and administer progressive discipline actions.

  • Complete safety, productivity, and policy reports regularly.

  • Maintains records including labor activities, attendance, training matrix, shop performance, and budgets.

  • Support capacity planning activities.

  • Manage performance to plan for critical manufacturing metrics (KPI’s) including but not limited to Safety-Quality-Delivery-Cost.

  • Work effectively across functions (Quality, Engineering, Finance, etc.).

  • Collaborate as key member on project teams leading new product validations and continuous improvements initiatives.

  • Cross collaborates with the company’s quality team to ensure strict adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance for safe and high-quality manufacturing.

    What You Must Bring to This Role

  • Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

  • 5+ years of practical experience required.

  • Strong knowledge of production processes, including the use of hand tools, power tools, and forklifts.

  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management and logistics.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
