Latham, The Pool Company Crane Operator in Queensbury, New York

Primary Role: This position is responsible for moving the pools to and from production then shipping for final delivery. The crane operator is designated a safety sensitive position and is subject to random drug testing. The employee may also be responsible for shipping/receiving from our vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive on the job training from Certified Crane Operator until certified

  • Properly manage loading personnel.

  • Follow the delivery schedule.

  • Keep production mold supply rolling.

  • Know when to use outriggers with use of crane.

  • Become a Certified Crane Operator.

  • Read order form to sign off on QA inspection form.

  • Verify all accessories are included with each load.

  • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma preferred

  • Prefer 1 year of experience working with maintaining and tracking inventory

  • Certified Crane operator and fork lift experience a plus

    Physical requirements of the position include but are not limited to prolonged standing, frequent bending/reaching/stooping, overhead work and lifting up to forty (40) pounds. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, hard hat, gloves, and/or protective outerwear and safety shoes are required. Exposure to dust, odors/fumes, heat or cold (dependent upon weather conditions) and noise is typical.

    Salary range for this position is $23.84-$26.89 per hour.
