INSTITUTE FOR SYSTEMS Research Associate I in Queen Anne, Washington

The Ranish Group is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate I to assist in studies aimed at understanding protein-protein interaction networks and how they change in health and disease. To accomplish this goal, the lab is developing mass spectrometry-based technologies that can identity protein-protein interactions on a large scale and how proteinrotein interactions change over time. This information will be used to identify key proteinrotein interactions underlying cell state transitions which can become targets for therapeutic intervention. The successful applicant will be fully integrated into ongoing projects and will be expected to design, execute, analyze, and troubleshoot experiments. Key responsibilities include Assist in the development of mass spectrometry-based technologies to study protein-protein interactions Sample preparation for mass spectrometry analysis, including protein purification Cell culture Present research at internal meetings Qualifications: B.Sc. in biomedical sciences (i.e., molecular/cellular biology or biochemistry) or related discipline Strong interest in proteomics Ability to organize and prioritize work, work efficiently and carefully Strong verbal and written communication skills ISB is an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer.
