Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community is currently seeking a full-time Life Engagement Facilitator to join our Residential Living Life Engagement Team!
The ideal candidate will be engaging, compassionate, self-motivated, and have a passion for working with seniors and adding joy to their lives. This team's single most important responsibility is to provide engaging activities and events that enhance our resident's lives. Our Current Opportunity:
Full-time primarily Monday-Thursday, 8:30am - 4:30pm with occasional weekend and evening hours.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provides an extraordinary customer service experience for our residents while encouraging independence in activities of daily living, where appropriate.
Creates and conducts activities and programs, both in groups and individual settings, as scheduled.
Assists with special functions, including creating, set-up, decorations, and clean-up.
Acts proactively to provide residents with social and emotional support in order to enhance their quality of life.
Works with interdepartmental teams, including Dining Services and Maintenance, to plan and carry out Life Engagement events and activities.
Maintains Life Engagement related postings, calendars and bulletin boards throughout Residential Living.
Position Requirement:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience in an activities related field.
Exceptional customer service skills required.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Prior experience working with the senior population is a BIG PLUS but not required.
