Responsibilities You will perform carpentry work to structures and miscellaneous exterior items (floors, walls, ceilings, roofs, stairways, overhangs, railings, doors, windows, screens, cabinets, fencing, storage enclosures, bath accessories, insulation etc.). You will make maintenance repairs to facilities by refitting doors and screen frames, replacing broken screens and hardware, and repairing dry rot, mudsills, rafters and windows. You will perform window work to facilities including jalousies, doors and window screens. You will lay out work from blueprints, sketches, and written instructions and make carpentry related repairs and alterations on building framework, truss members, beams, rafters, roof sheeting, wall sliding, ceilings, floors and foundations. You will repair and install locks, make keys for doors, cabinets and security areas, and perform sealing and caulking work to facilities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
