The Secant Group, LLC Material Handler / Driver in Quakertown, Pennsylvania

What we are looking for:

The Material Handler performs a variety of duties in support of the warehousing, shipping, receiving and transportation functions.

What you will do:

  • Transporting material to and from Secant facilities and local vendors using the company box truck vehicle.
  • Loads and unloads materials for both receiving and shipping of products according to SOP's and WI's.
  • Verifies any material received matches documentation and enters information into the ERP system.
  • Contacts appropriate departments when shipments are inaccurate to rectify the discrepancy.
  • Enters transactions in the inventory system for new receipts and, during shipping transactions, to remove inventory from stock.
  • Uses material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and dollies to bring products and materials to an appropriate location.
  • Packs finished products, as well as outgoing raw materials, for shipments.
  • Maintains and monitors stock inventory and reports needs/discrepancies in quantities to supervisor.
  • May be required to transport material to and from Secant facilities, as well as local vendor locations.
  • May assist maintenance staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 0--1-year related experience or prior experience in related field preferred.
  • Ability to successfully complete a  Department of Transportation physical and receive a valid medical DOT card.
  • Communicates effectively with team members and management.
  • Familiarity with computer software to enter and track inventory transactions
  • Ability to properly load equipment, products, and material on the truck and off the truck in a manner that causes no damage to the items and then delivers them to the assigned location.
  • Ability to drive a fork truck, aisle stacker, powered truck, and hand truck.
  • Basic math skills such as measuring, adding, subtracting, and multiplying.
  • Must possess a valid PA state driver's license.
