AAA Staffing Company Maintenance Mechanic 3rd shift in Putnam, Connecticut

The Maintenance Technician/Mechanic is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all assets in the production facility and grounds, ensuring compliance with OHandS and Quality and Excellence Standards. The manufacturing facility with 2 Automated Lines and 3 Manual Lines. Position is working nights; Monday-Thursday 5:30pm-4am. Training hours will be Monday-Thursday 5:30am-4pm. Job responsibilities:

  • Follow all plant and department safety rules and practices, including all Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintenance of Automated Processes and Manual Lines, including troubleshooting, repairing, mechanical adjustments, replacing parts as needed etc.
  • Maintenance and repairs covering all grounds of the facility.
  • Timely troubleshooting/repair of all processes, assembly and facility equipment.
  • Maintain and improve machines to keep in conformance with Safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Maintain the facility to ensure its proper operation.
  • Routinely perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance to ensure efficient plant operations.
  • Adherence to general housekeeping standards to insure a clean and orderly work environment.

Maintenance Mechanic Requirements:

  • Experience as a Maintenance technician/mechanic.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work with Automated Lines and learn new processes.
  • Experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, electronic (PLC/Instrumentation) and pneumatic equipment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to set priorities, exercise sound judgment, and perform with efficient and productive work habits.
  • Ability to work OT on all shifts as needed.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Positive attitude.
