Wealth Management Operational RiskAnalytics, Reporting, and Governance

Wealth Management Operational Risk Analytics, Reporting, and Governance team provides operational risk data analytics, executive reporting, framework governance, and committee management for 1stline Wealth Management Operational Risk and Non-Financial Risk.This role entails a range of responsibilities in a collaborative team environment including:

  • Implementation and monitoring of Firmwide Non-Financial Risk framework within WM Operational Risk, including metric management in conjunction with 2ndline governance reporting.
  • 1stline risk governance committee coordination between subject matter specific forums and overarching risk oversight.
  • Wealth Management Recovery and Resolution Plan oversight and preparation, including maintenance of Title I documentation and cross-functional communication on supporting processes, vendors and applications.
  • Business management responsibilities supporting the Head of Wealth Management Operational Risk.
  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting for senior WM Risk management.
  • Collaborate with other team members with operational risk metric analysis, Wealth Management Operational Risk Committee material review, and management of Governance Committee meeting management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of risk management experience within financial services, preferably within the Operational Risk, Business Management or Internal Audit discipline
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Solid interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to build / maintain a network of contacts, and coordinate with many stakeholders
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, emphasis in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (critical thinking ability)

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $135,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
