PURPOSE

The Warehouse/Inventory Team Lead’s role requires an individual who can pay very close attention to detail in order to effectively manage inventory and lead a team of 2 to 4 individuals. The Team Lead will be responsible for the warehouse staff assignments and receiving’s day-to-day tasks.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to the Operations Manager

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS

  • Develops and implements procedures for ensuring that adequate inventory levels are present

  • Identifies and optimizes common inventory items

  • Works with cross functional teams to come up with ways to dispose of EOZ/Obsolete items in the inventory

  • Ensures that daily cycle counts are completed daily and in a timely manner

  • Ensure that receiving audits of 4% are being completed daily and reported to the supply chain of any discrepancies.

  • Train other employees in cycle counting and inventory control following FIFO processes

  • Instruct others on how and where to return defective goods

  • Report Inventory statistics to management and suggest improvements to inventory control

  • Follow all existing company policies and procedures

  • Lead the team in 6’s, maintaining an organized and clean warehouse

  • All other duties that are assigned by the Operations Manager

EDUCATION LEVEL, SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION

  • High School Diploma or GDE

  • Demonstrates the ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and solve problems immediately.

  • Shows the ability to work well under pressure

  • Display the ability to multitask

  • Possess effective reading, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Strong computer skills are preferred

  • Time management and problem solving skills

  • Flexible and willing to adapt to lean processes and create a positive team environment

ENVIRONMENTAL AND/OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION

  • Requires lifting boxes weighing up to 40 pounds

  • Requires standing for 8 to 10 hours per day

  • Ability to work harmoniously with diverse range of people in a team environment

  • Ability to work in non-air-conditioned environment
