Emerson Solution Architect & Service Manager in PUNE, India

Job Summary:

If you are interested to be a part of the Smart “Connected” Factory Program, we have an exciting opportunity for you! As part of the Smart Factory Team, you will be responsible to deliver projects and own the solution, work on the Emerson Stage gating process and coordinate/work closely with various partners, work and collaborate with the senior product owners, for the global design and implementations on the following global solutions:

  • MES / IIoT

  • OWMS Cloud

  • Etq (QMS)

  • Maint (CMMS)

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Designing and maintaining solutions : These individuals build and integrate software and operating systems across the Smart Factory Eco System to boost productivity and improve processes across the board.

  • Developing strategies: Solutions architects come up with project plans, ideas, and potential solutions to combat business problems in a scalable, secure manner which helps achieve business goals.

  • Collaborating with developers and engineers: This role will with development teams to discover the best technological solutions and products, develop them together, and implement them properly.

  • Identifying and researching the new technologies: A solution architect should always be on the lookout for opportunities to improve current IT processes and implementations. They are expected to stay on top of the all the latest technology trends so they can ensure the company is getting the optimal support.

  • Service Management & SG Processes: You should always be on the lookout for opportunities to improve current IT processes and implementations, work as a Service delivery manager as well to see that the Project plans in MPP, Various Sow’s with Vendors are bringing value to Emerson – on both cost benefit and Technological value. They are expected to stay on top of the all the latest technology trends so they can ensure the company is getting the optimal support.

  • Solve and fixing issues: Solution architects need to address any technical issues that arise, mainly coordinating with the Senior Product owners and working closely with Vendor Project Managers, Emerson Project Managers, Vendor Key solution architects & Solution Leads, choosing the best possible option for the business.

  • Adhere to Project Management standard processes established by the Program Management Office (PMO).

  • Assess projects to establish a suitable project approach and methodology.

  • Assist the Project Sponsor / Product Owner in the development of the Project Scope of Work.

  • Maintain alignment to established Key Performance Indicators according to methodology.

  • Be responsible for the tracking and resolution of issues and problems that occur during the project or program increment lifecycle. Advances concerns to various levels of management.

  • Ensure that the project team follows all quality assurance processes, including periodic reviews and testing.

  • Monitor project spent vs project budget, Scope creep, quality, and schedule.

  • Adapt quickly to Emerson’s stage gate processes.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.

  • Minimum 10+ years of IT or Business-related experience (Technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure preferred).

  • Prior Project Management experience is required (Project Management certifications are preferred, but not required).

  • Excellent English language oral and written skills are required.

  • At least 2 IT full-life cycle implementations acting in key Functional roles such IT project lead, cut-over lead, migration lead, etc.

  • Total experience desired in Global engagements should be around 12-14 Yrs.

  • Experience in Oracle Supply chain modules, Manufacturing modules, Quality & Maintenance and how does everything fit in the Plant/Shopfloor ecosystem, Fundamentally very strong in the SCM & Manufacturing & Costing processes is desired.

  • Experience in working in a matrix organization and distributed teams.

  • Open to Travel 25%, (Global Emerson/Vendor Sites)

  • Having Legal authorization to work in the Country you are applying from

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Good Communication and Collaboration skills.

  • Excellent Customer Relationship skills & handling project/program participants.

  • Experience in working with multiple teams in a global environment, Emerson internal, Vendor partners etc.

  • Experience as it relates to IT Infrastructure or IT Applications, Cloud Connectivity.

  • Azure Boards and other Agile project delivery tools are a plus.

  • Ideal 12-14 + years’ Experience and knowledge in Waterfall and/or SAFe Agile project Methodology

  • Experience in Data Ingestion from ERP and various cloud sources, ETL & Ingestion into Data Lake & Azure Synapse, plus understanding of the Dimensional data modelling, FAW (Fusion Analytics Warehouse), Power BI and various reporting & dashboarding building tools for the end customer, stakeholders & Business leaders coordination, will be a big plus

  • Documentation management and technical writing skills

  • Certification in PMP or ITIL would be a plus.
