As part of continued growth and expansion, Siemens Industry Software (SISW) is seeking a software development engineer for Simcenter applications. Simcenter development works on sophisticated and multi-discipline engineering analysis applications for both Finite Element and Finite Volume simulation. Simcenter integrates outstanding analysis modeling with simulation solutions for structural, thermal, flow, acoustic, motion, engineering optimization, electro magnetics, multi-physics, simulation data management and simulation driven design. As a member of the development team, responsibility will be to ensure a high-quality, robust code implementation and efficient operation.

Role and Responsibilities

  • We are in search for candidate who would like to be part of the CAE development team to develop innovative technology.

The engineer for this position will directly work on Simcenter applications, to develop new functionalities and improving existing one.

  • We are searching for someone who can work with Product Managements and customers to propose and define creative and feasible solutions to effectively address the requirements of new CAE workflows, has to craft software applications applying object oriented analysis and design techniques, and has to implement efficient, maintainable, reliable and scalable code using sophisticated and low level algorithms.

They must work to collaborate and connect with product management, development, application specialists, quality teams and customers from different geographic locations. We are looking for a candidate who can perform task independently, own application modules and provide technical leadership to other team members.

Simcenter Applications are high-end and extremely sophisticated products that integrates 3D modeling, graphics, FEA/FVM, Motion Simulation and the engineer who is developing it, has to focus on accurate and efficient solution.

We are seeking for someone with very good at problem solving, should be able to take independent and creative decisions. They have to be proficient in using different data structures and algorithm techniques, should have exposure to OOAD principles and good working experience in C/C++.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

5-12 years of experience developing commercial software products

Candidate with 5+ years of experience writing C and or C++ for an engineering applications

Strong object-oriented programming skills with an emphasis on maintainability and reuse

Validated track-record of writing dedication & maintainable code

Experience with Fortran and Understanding of Mechanical Engineering fields and Finite Element Analysis are a plus!

Attention to detail, ability to work-independently, pride of ownership!

Familiarity with large, complex source trees, performance analysis and code optimization
