Responsibilities

Summary:

Our Software Engineers are product focused, giving them the opportunity to work on a product and understand the layers of the software stack. Work includes documentation, automated testing, debugging, working with algorithms and data structures, coding, design, system performance scaling, and problem solving for routine and moderately complex software programs. Responsibilities also include participation in projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement brand new product requirements into future focused, high quality, and easily testable code written in React & GoLang

  • Troubleshoot complex / legacy issues and improve app performance providing a roadmap to long term sustainable platform

  • Able to make technology selection using process of experimenting, proof-of-concept implementation, and comparison to other industry leading technologies

  • Communicates status and plans in clear and concise way, able to think through risks and issue to find the best solution given the business and technical constraints

  • Assist in evaluating the architecture for frontend application and provide clear improvements using milestones and integrating these into product requirements

  • Write reusable, effective, as well as scalable code and create interchangeable modules to be used across the board

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years mobile development experience

  • Demonstrated experience creating web applications using React & GoLang

  • Proficiency in React.js and its core principles

  • Strong JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 skills

  • Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Redux)

  • Expert understanding of computer science fundamentals such as data structures, design patterns, commonly used algorithms, and analysis of algorithms.

  • Capable of debugging complex problems, analyzing logs in production systems, quickly understanding and developing upon existing code base

  • Working understanding of networking, request/response and REST APIs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienced in working with web-components and micro-frontends

  • Is able to work with Component driven architecture

  • Has working knowledge and is familiar with the concept of design tokens and themes

  • Able to pick up and contributed towards existing React Native code base

  • Masters in Computer Science or Applied Mathematics

  • Strong leadership skills with capability to lead a team of 3 to 4 engineers technically

  • Track record of developing products in an Agile development environment

  • Experience working in a CI/CD environment

  • Understanding of Git and development activities such as merge, conflict resolution of code

  • Deep understanding and experience in Docker, Kubernetes and AWS cloud services

  • Communicates status and plans in clear and concise way, able to think through risks and issue to find the best solution given the business and technical constraints with ability of cross-team coordination
