Emerson Senior Engineer - PCB Design in PUNE, India

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Understand Project / Scope of Work from Business Units.

  • Understanding Requirements from Requirement Specification Document and convert those into design.

  • Deliver quality output / deliverables to meet the expected timelines.

  • Interaction with Hardware Engineer to understand the schematic Design Flow, Key constraints, tolerances.

  • Creation of a printed circuit board layout with manufacturing aspects and meeting IPC standards

  • Generation of production documents for external suppliers

  • Maintenance of production documents in EDP systems

  • Interaction with PCB vendors to get PCB manufactured is desirable.

  • Maintenance of a catalogue with standardized production guidelines for our suppliers.

Who You Are:

You readily take action on challenges, without unnecessary planning and you will actively listens and checks for understanding and work with people to establish explicit performance standards.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Minimum bachelor’s in engineering Electronics/ Electrical/ Instrumentation or relevant discipline.

  • 5-8 years of experience in PCB Designing, library development, Schematic using Altium for Analog and Digital Design.

  • Exposure to Valve Domain, Solenoid Valves will be preferred.

  • Should individually handle PCB Layout from placement to Gerber

  • Good Knowledge of designing the PCB using Altium tool

  • Good knowledge of layout for High Speed, Low Noise, High Voltage/ Current, multi layered PCBs.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Awareness of Thermal and Signal Integrity Analysis

  • EMC guidelines as per 61000 & safety requirements will be preferred.

  • PCB Footprint creation and validation

  • Added advantage if Knowledge of PCB Manufacturing processes, technology and Surface Mount assembly process.

  • Added advantage if Knowledge of PCB design and practices to follow for compliance standards like UL.

  • Knowledge of Electronic Components, Component Selection.

  • Added advantage if exposed to Altium, (Concord-Pro ) – the Data Management repository.

  • Exposure to SAP system

  • Conversant with MS Office Software tools such Word, Excel & Power Point.

  • Good Lateral Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills

  • Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision.

  • Undertakes work in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Respect company’s values and ethics

  • A willingness to learn is critical

  • Good Communication skills in Verbal English with neutral accent is must
