About the Role

This is a remote contract based role for three months with possibility of extension. 

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 3 years of Frontend development experience. 

  • A degree in information technology/management, or related fields.

    Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality, responsive web applications using HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and TypeScript.

  • Collaborate with backend developers to integrate frontend components with microservice API endpoints in GraphQL and REST.

  • Implement unit tests for frontend code using tools like Jest to ensure reliability and maintainability.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our frontend development processes.

  • Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into interactive web experiences.

  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to uphold code quality standards.

  • Assist in technical documentation and contribute to basic technical writing tasks as needed.

  • Assist in planning and executing tests to assess the usability of a software product.

    Required Skills

  • Proven experience coding in TypeScript with a strong understanding of Node.js.

  • Strong proficiency in developing HTML5-based web pages with CSS/SCSS styling.

  • Experience working with microservice API endpoints in both GraphQL and REST architectures.

  • Prior experience with unit testing in TypeScript using tools like Jest.

  • Familiarity with containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.

  • Experience in code versioning tools, such as Git.

  • Good understanding of frontend frameworks such as ReactJS or Next.js is preferred.

  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and remain composed under pressure.
