Rural Resources Community Action Title XIX Medicaid Case Manager (Hybrid - Pullman, WA) in Pullman, Washington

Rural Resources Community Action is looking for a Title XIX Medicaid Case Manager. This position is a hybrid full- time (40 hours per week) with benefits and located at our Pullman, WA office. As a Title XIX Medicaid Case Manager, are responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of Long-Term Care Services to Medicaid recipients, 18 and older. The primary goal of case management is to assist the care receiver develop a plan of care to enable them to reside in the setting of their choice, while meeting quality assurance measures in accordance with Medicaid and Health Care Authority regulations and policies. Case Managers administer the department's Comprehensive Assessment, Reporting & Evaluation (CARE) assessment that determines functional eligibility, resulting in authorization of services that the care recipient may require.

A Title XIX Medicaid Case Manager will need knowledge of Knowledge of the dynamics of aging and long-term care services, case management principles and practices, quality assurance approaches, social service program monitoring and evaluation techniques, simple mathematical functions, data collection techniques, technical report writing, and computer applications in social services. The qualities we are looking for include the ability to set strong boundaries to conduct constructive, supportive approach to effectively triage with the client/care providers/medical professionals/medical equipment contractors/community stakeholders, and strong skills in prioritization, organizational and time management skills.

To apply for this position, you would need a Bachelor's degree in social services, human services, behavioral sciences, criminal law/justice or an allied field and two to three years related experience.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license in state of residence.
  • Auto insurance in the amount required by the State of Washington. Access to reliable transportation.
  • Acceptable completion of a criminal history background check.
  • Obtain tuberculosis (TB) vaccination within two weeks of employment.

Salary & Benefit Information

The hiring range for this role is $21.65-$23.42 per hour. The full salary range of $21.65-$36.06 per hour represents the low and high end of the total salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to experience & qualifications. As a full or part-time employee, after the successful completion of our six-month training period you may receive a 4% step increase and an additional 4% step increase on your annual anniversary thereafter (excludes temporary employees). Depending on full time or part time status, other benefits may include medical (three plan options), dental and vision insurance, vacation, a 403(B) and/or Roth IRA retirement savings plan with a company match of up to 6%, $12,000 life insurance policy (while employed with RRCA), Employee Assistance Program and other auxiliary insurance options.  All employees, regardless of temporary, part-time or full-time status will receive sick leave.
