Position Details:

 

The Opportunity:

 

As the Business Services Manager, you will provide comprehensive planning and management of the financial, personnel, and business administration functions for the Office of Academic Engagement. Your role includes overseeing student success initiatives, pre-college and undergraduate services, programs and scholarships, a student center, collaborative faculty research projects, and peer educator programs and certifications. You will develop, analyze, and manage budgets for grants, contracts, state funds, and program funds, while establishing and maintaining comprehensive fiscal recordkeeping systems. Additionally, you will analyze and coordinate diverse budgetary and administrative support functions such as payroll, travel reimbursement, purchasing, recruitment, and special events. Working closely with the Executive Director on fiscal forecasting and budgeting, you will also collaborate with the Finance Officer from the Office of the Provost & Executive Vice President. Independently, you will manage and process all budgetary, fiscal, and personnel responsibilities.

 

In this position, you will provide overall financial planning and management of the unit's financial resources and lead day-to-day services, including accounts receivable and payable, purchasing, budgeting, forecasting, personnel, payroll, travel, property inventory, record keeping, auditing, analysis, and grant and contract administration. You will support and provide guidance to the Executive Director with various administrative functions when needed, participate in program planning, consult with funding agencies, and prepare specialized reports.

 

Required Qualifications

 

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, and four (4) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

 

• Experience using computer accounting information systems and/or applications software.

 

• Experience with budgets.

 

• Administrative experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, business administration or related roles.

 

• Experience with budget and business plan development.

 

• Grant management experience.

 

• Strong working knowledge of business management software.

 

• Highly organized and ability to wear multiple hats in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment; a driving force who manages toward clarity and solutions.

 

This position may be eligible for remote/hybrid work.
