Job Summary and Qualifications

Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to provide nursing care to the psychiatric patient under the direction of the RN.

· Works as a member of a team to assist with milieu management and performs job tasks to ensure personal, patient and departmental safety.

· Communicates professionally and effectively with staff, physicians, management, external and internal customers. Ensures timely and accurate communication of patient information with all members of the treatment team.

· Leads or Co-Leads the following groups: AM goal setting, PM wrap-up and diversionary.

· Assists Charge Nurses and Shift Supervisor in maintaining efficiency.

· Completes clerical responsibilities.

· Adheres to policies and procedures. Supports the Mission of the facility.

· Pursues and takes responsibility to enhance personal and professional growth.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

C.N.A Preferred

One year of health care experience

BLS and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 60 days of hire.
