summary of position

The in-process quality assurance monitors the assembly of high-side equipment and ensures quality procedures are adhered to.

Essential functions

Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.

Review engineering equipment submittals prior to and during equipment assembly.

Ensure manufacturing instructions are being followed.

Physically inspect equipment in production, and any other equipment as directed by management, on a daily basis to ensure problems are solved during production.

Review submittals daily.

Assist various production departments as needed (panels, wiring, piping, top-out, etc.)

Monitor all equipment assemblies in production (i.e., Century Refrigeration equipment, TSI equipment, condensing units, chillers, and any other equipment as directed by management.)

Participate in teams to improve design and functionality of equipment (KATA and Continuous Improvement Initiatives.)

Work with all departments on obtaining information.

Work with all departments on creating in process quality assurance policies and procedures.

Attend work as outlined in Employee Handbook and/or specified by your manager.

Complete other tasks as directed by manager.

Comply with government regulations, laws, company policies and company procedures.

Desired qualifications

Education: A high school level of education is mandatory for this position in order to continue upward advancement in the company. The employee must be able to understand directions from supervisors and managers, as well as giving out precise and accurate information to all departments.

Experience: at least 2 years in manufacturing

Skills: Ability to use Microsoft product software. Self-motivated. Effective oral and written communication skills. Mechanical & technical aptitude. Alertness & precision working with tools. Basic computer & math skills are required. Knowledge of assembly and servicing of refrigeration and HVAC equipment. Ability to communicate in a diplomatic and positive manner at all levels of understanding (entry level to engineering).

Certificates, licenses or training: High School Diploma or better, Refrigeration certification or degree preferred, and/or OJT.

Interaction with others

Answers to the Quality Supervisor. In constant communication with other departments, primarily in the final assembly area and engineering. It is essential that the employee is able to work with all employees of the RAE team and shows a spirit of cooperation with others in the organization.
