*Safety Sensitive Position*

Operate overhead crane to keep metal supplied and to move charge buckets to put them on top of the furnaces. Must be able to receive written and verbal instructions as to the type of scrap metal to be used each day. Load proper sizes of scrap metal on entry run and keep them stocked at all times. Unload scrap metals from trucks and rail cars and arrange metal by type and size. Must be aware where various sizes and types of scrap metals are stacked. Perform light maintenance on equipment used. File report on equipment. Dump scrap boxes and separate scrap as instructed. Know and practice safety rules applicable to the safety of others and to personal safety. Assist with reline furnace performing brick work, mix refractory materials, and repair and replacement of refractory. Sweep, operate a chipping gun and other duties as assigned when production is over. May perform ladle repair, iron pourer and/or furnace operator job duties when needed. May use forklift to move pallets, slag bins, reline, etc. This position may be classified as a lead person which will perform job duties as assigned.Keep work area clean and orderly. Know safety rules that apply to the safety of others and to personal safety. Perform other work as instructed by supervisor.
