Meeting Street is currently looking for Substitute Teachers for Grace and Carter Schools.

Duties:

  • Assists in the development, implementation, and revision of a standards-based curriculum that promotes active learning by providing a variety of developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
  • Develops lesson plans, progress reports, and individual learning plans within specified timelines as directed.
  • Creates a learning environment where the children are stimulated and motivated to work to their best potential.
  • Designs and implements appropriate academic and social goals for all students.
  • Facilitates interactions among children that provide opportunities for emotional, social, and cognitive growth.

Requirements
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in General Education and Special Education with valid certification from RIDE.
  • A minimum of one year teaching experience, with prior experience working with children with and without disabilities in an inclusive environment preferred.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • The hours when scheduled to work are Monday through Friday from 7:45AM to 3:15pm.
