Charter Care Health Partners Coordinator, Surgical Oncology Data in Providence, Rhode Island

Summary: Manages geriatric oncology, surgery department, disparities research data collection and maintenance in secure environment. Prepares reports for the Center for Quality and Outcomes in Surgery and Oncology (CQOSO) program. Helps to process, analyze data within the hospital and collaborators and also national data bases which will be involved with the program. To help with surgical fellows, residents and students in obtaining data, analyzing the data and help with basic statistical work. In that regards would like to be able to manage people and have computer knowledge to manage and secure the data.

Education: MD, PhD, BS degree

Licensure: Degree/licensure in data management or allied health field as applicable.

Experience: 3-5 years of data collection experience or equivalent with exposure to research protocols. Medical Terminology required. Statistical analysis experience required. Oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Microsoft Office and knowledge of Microsoft Access or data management software. Familiarity with regulatory guidelines for research protocols and obtaining IRB approval. Manuscript and/or grant writing experience is helpful.

Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements : Works in a well-lighted and well-ventilated area. May work with computers for long time. Attends all safety related training programs. Intermittent sitting, standing, and walking. Meets all safety requirements associated with the Medical Center.
