This position reports to the Senior Director, US Public Policy and may be based in Washington, DC or Princeton NJ. The Senior Manager, Policy research will support the work of the entire US Public Policy team by: driving the team’s research agenda, identifying opportunities to utilize policy analysis to drive the company’s US Public Policy priorities, and provide technical assistance to the Directors and Senior Director, US Public Policy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and execution of the US Public Policy research agenda, supporting policy research across all access issues and brands.
Drive the distribution strategy for Bristol-Myers Squibb policy research including partnerships with advocacy organizations to jointly develop research project concepts and research publication strategies.
Continue partnership with the BMS Government Affairs team to create advocacy messages supported by the research agenda.
Provide technical assistance to the Directors and Senior Director, US Public Policy regarding interpretation of regulations as they impact the Bristol-Myers Squibb portfolio.
Serve as a formal liaison to the US Health Economics and Outcomes Research Team to identify collaborative opportunities to maximize portfolio specific data to support policy agenda.
Serve as subject matter expert on policy research, working collaboratively to share policy research with external stakeholders including patient advocates and providers in order to build BMS policy thought leadership.
3 years of professional experience with a minimum of 1 year in public policy, health policy, health economics, or related fields.
Bachelor's Degree required
Excellent verbal, analytical, written and interpersonal communication skills, particularly in interpreting and distilling complex information;
Excellent organizational and project management skills—demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple work streams;
Demonstrated commitment to ensuring patient access to innovative medicines and the importance of a thriving biopharmaceutical industry;
Ability to maintain good working relationships internally and externally;
