The Sandoz General Legal group has an opportunity for an experienced attorney interested in joining our ethical, fast-paced, adaptive, and collaborative culture to support our Commercial Operations, Regulatory, Government Pricing, and Medical teams. As the Director & Associate General Counsel, you will partner with key stakeholders to support the marketing and sales of branded and generic pharmaceutical products. And you will advise on applicable US regulations and statutes arising from the development and commercialization of products regulated by FDA. Your additional responsibilities include, but not limited to: •Advise on patient support services and medical affairs, government price reporting and false claims/anti-kickback compliance issues. •Provide legal leadership on cross-functional teams. •Identify and advise on legal issues relevant to the business •Provide recommendations to address critical issues so that business and legal objectives are met •Serve as the legal advisor in complex business projects, analyze complex issues and concepts in a timely fashion. •Review, analyze and remain current on all federal and state legal developments affecting the pharmaceutical industry and advise and educate on their impact to the business. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $201,600 and $302,400/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors. \n\n\n\n Position Title: Director & Associate General Counsel Role Requirements: What you’ll bring to the role: •Juris Doctor (JD) degree is required •Licensed to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction is required •Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience at a major law firm and in-house. Prior in-house experience is required. •Experience advising on payer and PBM contracting is required. •Experience in providing advice regarding the compliant marketing of branded or generic pharmaceuticals is required. •Significant experience advising on federal and state healthcare compliance laws, e.g., false claims, anti-kickback statute, is required. •Significant experience providing advice regarding GPO, pharmacy, wholesaler, and distributor contracts, is required. •Demonstrable experience with pharmaceutical government price reporting compliance is required. •Prior transactional and litigation experience are required. •Experience advising on applicable US regulations and statutes arising from the development and commercialization of products regulated by FDA required. •Experience advising on patient support services and medical affairs, government price reporting and false claims/anti-kickback compliance issues required. •Demonstrable experience advising on government price reporting, drug pricing, and reimbursement, is required.
