Job Summary:

The Compliance Assurance Analyst will be responsible for supporting and tracking the findings and resolutions resulting from complex audits on a variety of systems, applications, processes, key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for NRG Retail brands. This role will also be expected to manage communication with Task Owners, deliverables against assignments and validation of evidence being provided to the Compliance Assurance Team.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Gather and capture all applicable materials, screenshots and communication supporting the gap closure process, verifying the accuracy of the evidence, and performing quality assurance testing as necessary

  • Track open tasks to meet delivery dates, engaging with outside teams leveraging a variety of communication methods, and escalating with Leadership when needed

  • Present and communicate with management and key stakeholders the status of open gaps and explaining the expected resolution plan

  • Maintain metrics and reporting to monitor progress of the gap closure process

  • Provide status updates on individual deliverables and KPI targets on a weekly and monthly basis

  • As requested, conduct mini audits, preparing and drafting recommendations into an executable document or report that can be distributed for use

  • Create and analyze data, leveraging Excel, SQL, and Power BI to identify the areas that conflict with regulations and spot the trends that negatively impact the customer journey

  • Help design, implement, and maintain a robust gap closure process, always seeking best in class process and supporting a continual improvement culture

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

  • Remote

  • Travel minimal

  • Standard 8-5, Monday – Friday, working hours expected

  • Availability outside of normal working hours may be necessary and is dependent on business needs

  • Reliable internet is required

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • 1+ years of retail energy (Electric and Gas) experience

  • 1+ years of auditing experience

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Task and deadline driven, managing to deliverables

  • Manage multiple deliverables in a fast and ever-changing environment

  • Embrace change, adapting quickly, with a desire for continuous improvement and growth

  • Rapidly assimilate to numerous systems and applications

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically in front of a computer, sitting and standing as desired, using standard computer equipment

Onsite (New York, California)

The salary range for this role is $53,000- $70,000. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
