Assessment Specialist, French Language & Culture

Adecco is hiring for an assessment specialist to work remotely. Weekly pay starting at $30.00 per hour for up to 40 hours/week. Job Description:

The Assessment Specialist, French Language and Culture will support the end-to-end process of test development for ETS' French tests. In this role you will integrate into a team of experienced Assessment Developers to contribute to all aspects of the work we do in support of our French assessments including:

Content Development:

· Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on French language and culture assessments

· Write and revise test questions, assemble test forms, and move assessment materials through the multi-stage review process

· Respond to client feedback to develop content that meets specific client expectations

· Align assessment material to a prescribed curriculum framework

· Develop authentic stimuli material for students to engage with on assessments

· Develop test materials that address the four language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking, across the three modes of communication: interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational, as discussed in the ACTFL standards and proficiency guidelines

Project/Process Management:

· Follow a detail-oriented, prescribed assessment development process

· Manage multiple streams of work simultaneously

· Ability to understand complex project schedules and plan effectively to meet deadlines

· Prepare client deliverables according to specific requirements

· Comfortable adapting to technology required for the job (proprietary content management systems, SharePoint, Microsoft office suite, etc.)

Client Management:

· Comfortable in a client-facing role focused on understanding and resolving feedback on assessment materials

· Thinks creatively about challenging client requirements and generates solutions to issues

· Deals well with ambiguity and changes in process and requirements as needed

EXPERIENCE

· Fluency in French is required.

· A Master's degree in French, world languages education, or related field is required.

· Three years of increasingly responsible professional experience, including experience in educational measurement, teaching, or editing is preferred. Entry-level candidates who recently completed an advanced degree will be considered.

· Teaching experience is highly desirable, including experience with French courses at the college level or Advanced Placement (AP) French Language and Culture at the secondary level.

· Comprehensive knowledge of the field of world languages/world languages education in order to develop tests and to serve as resource person for peers, committees, and clients is required.

· Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with clients and external committees is required.

· Strong writing skills, well-developed organizational skills, and a willingness/adeptness with regards to learning new technology are required.

Pay Details: $30.00 per hour
