Role Purpose

Management of the flow down of the customer program requirements for the business including MPS, capacity planning and rate readiness. Maintain master production plans, analysis of headcount requirements, monitor and maintain business operation planning metric and KPIs. Adherence to business processes. Process development to enhance / improve business practices.

Operations Master Production Scheduler

Salary: From £41,520.00 - £45,649.00

This opportunity, based at our Prestwick site offers:

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain Master Production Schedule (including Spares) requirements in order to formulate, negotiate and agree detailed operational targets and outputs for a Program / Projects.

  • Manage all issues associated with any amendments to schedule and respond to Customer.

  • Proactively engage with the customer on all schedule related aspects.

  • Provide analysis & top level summary of customer schedule changes to be shared at BCB (business change board) & PCCB (program control change board).

  • Manage the implementation of customer scheduling interfaces including full integration of Air Supply.

  • Assess, define and provide recommendation RCCP options and ‘what if’ scenarios that balance Customer demands, capacity and resource for the internal and external supply base.

  • Establish and maintain performance reporting systems to support all project reporting requirements, ensuring a site link is maintained through the S&OP & SOW process.

  • Active engagement in quarterly budget forecasts through the Operations assumptions documentation.

  • Review and agree all direct head Resource changes prior to sign off from Team Leader.

  • Responsible for assessing and updating all internal rate capability and capacity analysis for all customer / internal driven rate readiness requests.

  • Support supplier on site rate reviews to validate their capacity planning assumptions.

  • Responsible for maintenance of ERP system ensuring that all project information is loaded in line with business requirements / procedures and that data accuracy is achieved in line with Business Targets.

  • Ensure impact of any operational / procedural changes on other stakeholders have been discussed and resultant issues resolved before implementation.

  • Align with SCM & TOW (transfer of work) for any buffer management impacts and ensure the changes are incorporated within the project no. 1 flow / VSM.

  • Continuously validate cycle times by project build and ensure they are accurate and No 1 flows / VSM are updated to remain topical.

  • Deputise for Team Leader as required to support the business requirements.

  • Chair Customer Driven Schedule reviews.

  • Maintain Customer reports and presentations including the co-ordination of information for all program changes.

  • Conduct and ensure the completion of Customer Operational Reviews with set agenda as determined by business requirements.

  • Assist in the development and management of team members, including their performance and development reviews.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • The job holder typically requires a university degree or advanced higher education equivalent.

  • The main areas of knowledge required to perform the job are master scheduling capability ideally but not essential in the manufacturing industry. A working knowledge of practice / applications / basic theories of several aspects of that area is required.

  • In addition to the above the successful candidate should have;

  • Excellent excel skills

  • A strong and clear communicator

  • ERP experience ideally SAP

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
