  • Maintains safety awareness and the consistency of the safety program implementation of management personnel by providing current information on safety issues and continuously working with supervisors and managers to effectively handle safety-related issues.
  • Provides environmental compliance assistance for the Prescott Valley campus; Wastewater, Stormwater, Hazardous Waste, etc. programs. Assisting in other locations as needed.
  • Partners with the Human Resource department on workers compensation claims.
  • Ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA, TCEQ, by keeping up-to-date with regulations and reviewing correspondence, newsletters and other environmental / safety-related materials.
  • Applies current laws and regulations in the inspection of company safety protocols.
  • Schedules meetings and organizes events to provide information regarding workplace safety / environmental issues to team members and managerial personnel.
  • Organizes and schedules training sessions and provides on-site safety training for team members.
  • Assists with investigation of unsafe acts/conditions, ergonomic incidents, injuries and corrective actions.
  • Maintains training records and safety reports.
  • Perform environmental / safety audits, and inspections.
  • Monitor, analyze and trend data such as, safety inspections, injuries, safety incentive program, etc.
  • Prepares meeting agendas and minutes for distribution to appropriate sources.
  • Maintains departmental budget by monitoring departmental expenditures.
  • Coordinate safety committee meetings.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed.
