We are looking for:

Industrial Mechanical Millwright

Prysmian Group is currently recruiting for a Licensed Industrial Mechanic/Millwright to support our growing business. This position requires flexible working hours and rotating shifts.

Compensation

  • Starting base rate: $34.98 per hour plus premiums

  • Increasing to $36.30 per hour plus premiums

  • Pension plan with Company matching up to 6%

  • Health and Dental benefits paid by Employer

Qualifications & Responsibilities

  • MUST HAVE 433A Industrial Millwright ticket

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role

  • Experience with PM, Breakdown, Hydraulics and Pneumatics

  • Ability to fabricate and weld different metals with numerous techniques

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and repair on site

  • Perform Preventive Maintenance activities as assigned on all equipment and machines throughout the plant in conjunction with daily production requirements

  • Responsible for troubleshooting of machinery to minimize down time; acts upon an intense sense of urgency to on-floor calls and emergencies.

  • Repair breakdown of equipment, machinery, and infrastructure

  • Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • Fabricate parts and other equipment as per instructions or blueprint

  • Install and commission new machinery

  • Perform weld repairs on equipment

  • Assist the maintenance team with other responsibilities as they arise

  • Candidate must practice good communication skills with Maintenance Team Members, Production leads and Management and all plant associates. Has good teamwork and inter-personal communication skills.

  • Operates the following machinery/equipment in compliance with Health & Safety legislation, Company Joint Health & Safety Programs, and Good Manufacturing Practices

  • Hand Tool/Power Tools/Welding/cutting equipment/Air tools

  • Material handling equipment like Power Jack’s/ Forklifts/ Pallet Jack/ lifts/ hoists, etc.

  • All plant or departmental machinery and equipment as required.

Work Environment

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds

  • Frequent walking, standing, squatting, and reaching required

  • Ability to do shift work
