Fann Contracting, Inc. Senior Estimator in Prescott, Arizona

If you are a Heavy-Civil Estimator with DOT, Highway Paving, Mass Excavation and Pipeline Construction experience, please read on!

Our family-owned 60-year company specializes in mass excavation, rock handling, underground utilities, private and public infrastructure, asphalt paving, aggregate crushing, asphalt hot plant production, and much more. Our projects include public and private entities including ADOT, FHWA, BIA, city and county municipalities, private residential and commercial. As a SENIOR ESTIMATOR for us, you’ll estimate future jobs ranging from $1M to $50M. Candidates should possess a solid working knowledge of HCSS HeavyBid Software. We do VERY LITTLE to NO vertical buildings - All of our work is horizontal! We do large-scale paving, pipe, dirt, subdivisions, highway widenings, bridges, aggregates crushing and materials trucking. We apologize in advance but if you have no experience in any of these areas, we’re not likely to call you back or respond to your resume. Therefore, please do not submit a resumé or CV that lists only vertical experience or is so generically composed that we can’t tell which construction discipline your experience is in!

General team member responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Provide and coordinate full estimating services on heavy-civil and heavy-highway construction projects

  • Review of specifications and plans

  • Attend weekly bid meetings and site visits/meetings

  • Verify accuracy of quantity take-offs

  • Bid and pre-construction scoping

  • Solicit and coordinate subcontractor and supplier quotes

  • Prepare preliminary pre-bid schedules

  • Issue subcontractor award notices or letters of intent

  • Provide conceptual estimates for alternative delivery GMP

  • Work with Contracts and Estimating Departments and administrators to prepare statements of qualifications

  • Work to acquire competitive and successful bids

  • Coordinate successful bid hand-offs to project management and job supervisory team

Minimum qualifications include an industry-specific B.S Degree or equivalent work experience both in the field and in a lead estimating role. A minimum 10-years of hands-on estimating and knowledge with HCSS bidding software are a plus. This is a full time position! This opening is located at our headquarters in Prescott, AZ.
