Fann Contracting, Inc. Finish Blade/Dozer Operator in Prescott, Arizona

Fann Contracting, Inc - Northern Arizona’s leading heavy-civil and heavy-highway contractor - is searching for an experienced CAT 150/140 GPS Finish Blade / GPS Dozer Operator (Trimble) to join our team! Our family-owned 63-year company specializes in mass excavation, rock handling, underground utilities, private and public infrastructure, asphalt paving, aggregate crushing, asphalt hot plant production, and much more. Our projects include public and private entities including ADOT, FHWA, BIA, city and county municipalities, private residential and commercial developments.

This is a permanent, full-time position for the right candidate. Work sites range from border to boarder within Arizona. The successful candidate will have both CAT motor grader and dozer GPS experience on Federal/Davis-Bacon projects to include heavy highway grading, cutting slopes, sub grade prep for concrete and/or asphalt, can read plans and understand grade stakes. Candidates should have the ability to work overtime and very occasionally work weekends.

  • Starting pay depends upon experience but will typically range between $30.35 to $33.45 per hour .

  • Tax-free subsistence (TRAVEL PAY) of $63 to $73 per day may also be available if you travel outside the Prescott area for work (ask for details).

  • Free online and in person training classes include OSHA 10-hr. First Aid/CPR, Excavation Safety, Confined Space, Lasers, Grade Checking, Defensive Driving, Eq. Operator and Equipment Safety and much more.

    Finish Blade Operators at Fann Contracting work throughout the entire state of Arizona and may be required to be on their projects from 4 to 5 days per week. Travel will often be necessary and overtime can be frequent due to project/schedule needs.

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Prefer a minimum of 5 years GPS finish blade/Dozer experience.

  • Ability to finish with both Caterpillar M & H Controls is a plus, (blue-top or w/Trimble GPS).

  • Hard Worker who will also operate other equipment or even labor when needed.

  • Statewide travel is frequent/necessary; 4 to 6 days per week possible.

  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised.

  • Must be drug-free and committed to safety.

  • Great attitude is necessary.

  • Must have physical strength and endurance.

  • Ability to occasionally lift heavy objects and walk over rocky, uneven or slippery terrain.

  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, high-stress environment.
