Pay Rate : Journeyman I start at an hourly rate of $35.88/hr.

After an initial onboarding period, the Journeyman I immediately begin a state-of-the-art training and certification program to allow potential rapid advancement to higher position and increased wages.

Category/Shift :Hourly Full-Time (7:00a to 3:30p – Monday – Friday)

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Troubleshoot, configure, maintain PLC systems

  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain single loop controls for various field systems

  • Instillation, calibration, troubleshooting various manufactures of analog and SMART instruments and analytical equipment

  • Shop and field repair of final control elements such as pneumatic valves, electric valves, solenoid operated valves, calibration of pneumatic and SMART valve positioners

  • Routine and regulatory calibration of field instruments for boilers and environmental systems

  • Troubleshoot, maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems

  • Read and redline loop sheets, P&IDs

  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams & electrical schematics

  • Communicate with operators while troubleshooting loops

  • Communicate & coordinate with vendors during equipment installation, maintenance, or repairs to assure compliance to all company requirements

  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on routine and extended annual outages

  • Understand and follow NFPA70E regulations involving Arc Flash and Shock hazards

  • Maintain shops, DCS work areas and field work areas in a 5S standard

  • Assist electrical Journeyman as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Minimum high school graduate or GED equivalent

  • Eligible for employment in the US

  • Degree or certification in Electrical Studies; or at least 3 years of work experience in Electrical Systems

  • Continue to develop skills to become a multi-skill EI technician

  • Must be willing to meet the following requirements:

  • Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment

  • Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment

  • Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule

  • Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification

  • Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis

  • Wear required safety equipment

  • Operate or work in industrial conditions (may be warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery or elevated working surfaces (with proper safety training and safety protection)

  • Associate degree in a maintenance discipline

  • Relevant work experience in an industrial environment

  • Strong math/physics understanding

  • Prior experience as a multi-skill mechanic
