Location: Sauk Prairie School District, Prairiedu Sac, WI

Pay Rate: $25 per hour

Hours: 7.5 hours per day

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description:

The Sauk Prairie School District is seeking two dedicatedand compassionate Special Education Assistants to join our team. The successfulcandidates will work closely with special education teachers to supportstudents with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in various educational settings.

  • Help with classroom management and organization.

  • Support students with daily activities and personal care as needed.

  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to create a positive learning environment.

  • Monitor and document student progress and behavior.

Requirements:

  • Special Education Program Aide License issued by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI)

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with students with special needs.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
