This position reports into Sr Manager Trade Compliance Operations and is based in Prague, Czechia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent Trade Compliance operations in essential company’s projects related to legislation changes, flows set up, operations movement between countries, FTA application, provide targeted support on trade compliance aspects of supply chain, logistics, or transport operations projects

  • Support the business on operational escalations.

  • Manage the budget and the financial flows to our brokers across EMEA related to duties and brokerage service.

  • Interact at the right level with Government authorities and represent NCHC (SPOC for Customs, Chamber of commerce, etc.).

  • Obtain/keep required TC licenses (approved exporter, authorization, REX, etc.), ensuring prompt and compliance customs reporting as well as transparent recordkeeping

  • Manage relationships with Customs Clearing Agents via metrics and by providing them strategic directions and guidance, as well as driving continuous improvements

  • Support on development, implementation and update of SOPs and process flows

  • Stay updated on changes in trade regulations and assess their impact on operational flows

  • Support on regular audits of operational flows to find areas for optimization and compliance improvement

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of confirmed experience in Trade Compliance area

  • In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures

  • Experience with international trade flows and import/export documentation

  • Experience and/or training in the following areas of competence: Union Customs Code (UCC), World Customs Organization, HTS code determination, Customs valuation principles, rules of origin, free trade agreements, INCOTERMS, AEO, customs brokerage activities and in special customs authorizations and licenses

  • Customer oriented and a pro-active attitude

  • Good project and change management skills

  • Ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority Desired Qualifications

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Transport & Distribution, Logistics, International Studies, Legal, Economics, Financial etc. Qualification courses on customs clearance and trade compliance

  • Experience with FMCG market
