Senior Digital Engineer

Job Description

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Interpreting requirements specifications to develop system and design strategies for primarily power management and power converter products.

  • Participate in the specification phase of digital blocks

  • Block and top-level design from specification to LINT clean, synthesizable and DFT aware code

  • Design of optimized digital blocks meeting functional and quality constraints

  • Supporting and mentoring junior design engineers

  • Support Digital Verification

  • Support DFT strategy and implementation

  • Interface with Synthesis and P&R for digital hand-off and post layout verification

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrable team working skills, with 5 to 10 years of experience in digital design

  • Fluent in SystemVerilog RTL coding and good knowledge of ASIC design methodology

  • Proven ability to optimize and develop design architecture from chip inception through to compliant netlist

  • Understanding of mixed signal IC design

  • Proven ability to understand and create design and system specifications

  • Ability to understand timing constraints and synthesis scripts for STA and P&R handoff

  • Ability to develop and debug tests in UVM based SystemVerilog testbench

  • Willingness to travel

  • Takes responsibility for solutions and makes them happen

  • Looking for continuous improvement in own and Renesas work practices

  • Confident and proactive attitude about own role and contribution to company goals

  • Fluent in working level English, both written and spoken

  • Ability to express oneself comprehensibly and with mutual respect within a multi-site and multi-cultural environment, contributing to a successful and friendly team environment
