Title and Summary

Manager, Business Development, Products & Solutions (Core)

Overview:

Grow revenue by identifying and pursuing opportunities with new or existing customers, develop Mastercard’s Czech and Slovak business by closely working with account managers.

Focus on growing revenue and market share in Czechia and Slovakia

Develop and execute core products and digitization strategy aligned with regional and country strategy.

Build on the strong existing products and business relationships we have to drive innovations by launching new products, adopting business models and help build new service revenue streams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute our core products and digitization strategy in Czechia and Slovakia for consumer and business segment in cooperation with country management, account teams and product teams.

• Define and drive ESG strategy with regards to both internal and external parties in Czechia and Slovakia in cooperation with international colleagues and local partners, bring new ideas in this area and run the full implementation process.

• Be entrepreneurial and open minded when exploring new opportunities in the market by finding new partners or offering new services.

• Lead strategic projects and be a pioneer in the area of product development, product differentiation and innovation.

• Be active member of teams working on RFPs, bring new and innovative ideas helping to win these RFPs

• On regular basis, monitor consumer and premium value propositions of our existing and potential customers and proactively come with proposals for optimization and improvements to increase revenue and market share.

• Ask for regular feedback from our customers, monitor their strategy and proactively bring ideas for new products and services.

• Work with the account teams to build exciting customer pitches including defining the value proposition, business case and overall storyline.

• Be part of the team and serve our customers by keeping strong relationships and a good cooperation with internal stakeholders and customers alike to deliver on our business targets.

• Provide inputs for long-term growth strategies to optimize mutual profitability across all product lines.

• Enhance ongoing business development relationships.

Skills:

• Interest and passion for payments, banking, financial services, e-commerce, and all things digital. Ideally picked up in previous relevant jobs or in a consulting environment with at least 5 years working experience.

• Strong Business acumen understands the complex relationships in payment sectors.

• Strong Project Management skills – ability coordinate and lead diverse teams with no direct management responsibility.

• Partnership approach – open to developing new partnerships both internally and externally to drive the company’s growth.

• Results driven – makes timely and thoughtful decisions.

• Quick learner – ability to understand new technologies and innovations and see where they can be used effectively to achieve company goals.

• Solutions oriented – takes a solutions-oriented approach to build complete package rather than simply selling a product.

• Team player capable of working in matrix style management and across borders.

• Strong and convincing presentation skills.

• Strategic thinking and outstanding communication skills on all levels.

• Ability to effectively work and build relationships in multicultural matrix organization.

• MBA or Master or Bachelor degree, Czech/ Slovak native speaker, English is a must.

• You will be based in Prague, Czechia with occasional travelling required.
