JOB DIMENSIONS Leverage UV coating and converting equipment expertise to train customers on machine set up, safe operations, and maintenance for UV acrylic adhesive application. Build comprehensive understanding of Bostik Pressure Sensitive Adhesives for Advanced Packaging and Converting including formulation, physical properties, analytical properties, bond performance, and manufacturing. Develop knowledge of the Pressure Sensitive Adhesive markets including Labels, Tapes, and Specialties markets. Sample preparation with attention to chemical safety protocol and lab testing with accuracy, precision, and responsiveness including physical and performance testing. Use product line knowledge, interpretation of lab testing results, and understanding of applications and equipment to provide technical support with the goal of maintaining current business and growing new business in partnership with sales. KEY ACTIVITIES Develop test plans and write lab reports to make data based product recommendations. Execute trial plans on Bostik application equipment to optimize adhesive performance. Participate in customer qualification trials to ensure successful conversion to Bostik solutions. Provide technical training and guidance educate customer operations personnel and new Bostik sales associates. Aid customer in machine Setup: Prepare the UV coating equipment for operation, ensuring proper alignment and calibration Adhesive Application: Apply UV hot melt adhesive rolls using the coating equipment and give instruction on UV light dosage and power Maintenance: Instruct customers on maintenance on the coating machine and UV lights, including cleaning and troubleshooting the application. Develop Relationships- Develop relationships with UV light and HM coater equipment suppliers to understand trends, troubleshoot issues etc. Work as a joint team with the account manager in developing customer relationships and future growth. Overall responsibility for the lab work performed for all customer projects. Lead CEI investigations of performance issues to determine root cause and suggest corrective actions. Actively participate in MST meetings and develop collaborative internal cross-functional relationships. Develop technical relationships with Allied Suppliers and support Bostik presence at trade shows. Operate safely according to Bostik's policies, procedures, and work instructions. ACCOUNTABILITIES Collaborate with Sales to build knowledge of customer products and applications, identify customer needs, provide appropriate product recommendations, and support customer's new production qualification process.
