Senior Financial Analyst: The Senior Financial Analyst - Intercompany Accounting is an expert in Intercompany Accounting. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the completeness and integrity of our intercompany financial transactions. You will analyze complex intercompany accounts, identify discrepancies, and provide actionable insights to improve financial reporting and decision-making. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of intercompany accounting principles. What You'll Do: Perform detailed analysis of intercompany accounts, reconciling and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate recording and reporting of intercompany transactions in accordance with US GAAP and company policy Monitor & resolve flash sale errors; Complete month end flash sale close activities Collaborate with Finance, Tax, HR, etc on the development and execution of various Intercompany cost allocations Develop and implement intercompany accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards Monitor and analyze intercompany balances and transactions to identify trends and areas for improvement Prepare and review intercompany account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness Provide guidance and support to other finance teams on intercompany accounting matters Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including intercompany eliminations and consolidation Assist in the development and maintenance of intercompany accounting systems and tools Stay updated on industry standard processes and regulatory changes related to intercompany accounting Completion of ad hoc financial analysis requested by management What You'll Need: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or finance CPA or MBA preferred 5 years or more of intercompany accounting experience (or similar role) to include P&L and Balance Sheet analytics and flux reporting Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting Excellent knowledge of intercompany accounting processes and procedures Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, etc.) Experience in Consolidations software (OneStream, HFM, etc.) Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills What You Can Expect: Univar Solutions is a leading, global distributor of chemicals and ingredients essential to the safety, health, and wellbeing of our daily lives from life-saving medicines and vitamins to hand sanitizers and industrial materials used for cleaning, construction, and more.
