Power electronic and high-speed digital circuit design and simulation. Printed circuit board layout. Component and EMC compliance engineering. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specification and reliability. May also review vendor capability to support product development,iEssential Job Functions:i With minimal supervision design, implement, test, validate, and release new PCA's over the full product lifecycle.i Sustaining current PCA's in a document control system.i Power electronics design for Switch Mode Power Supply and Motor Controlsi Perform hands on design verification through the use of tools, such as, Oscilloscopes and software simulation.i Specification of middle to high frequency power magneticsi Creation of wiring diagrams, schematics, test reports, and Bill-of-Materialsi Costing and cost reduction analysisi Actively manage project activities and coordinate work efforts of engineering techniciansi Define interface and black-box specifications for use by software and embedded firmware engineersi Provide technical interface and communication with Engineering, Marketing, Customer Support and Operations departments as requiredi Performance of other tasks as assigned with minimal supervisionSkills/Experience Requirements:iBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related discipline required (MS is a Plus)Minimum five (5) years of relevant experiencePrior experience working with power electronics and/or motor control electronicsFamiliarity with sensor circuits, signal conditioning, noise mitigation, and electromechanical controlProficiency using Altium EDA tools and PSPICE.Expertise in RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous substances) compliant designEffective verbal and written communicationsStrong analytical and problem solving skills to make sound technical decisionsMust have experience with MS Word, MS Project, Excel, Outlook and other office productivity softwareCandidate must possess U.S. citizenship or be a "U.S. Person".
