Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29 SELECT Program Coordinator in Pottsville, Pennsylvania

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a 4 year degree in education, nursing, social welfare or experience working with disadvantage youth
  • Masters Degree Preferred

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day ELECT program oversight and management.
  • Review ELECT casenotes of average of 25-30 caseloads monthly; make recommendations and maintain program quality assurance.
  • Attend mandatory monthly and quarterly meetings for ELECT required by PDE, SELECT, and DHS.
  • Meet regularly with business office personnel to maintain budget.
  • Prepare and assist for RFAs and Grant Renewal on an annual basis.
  • Support data specialist for ELECT; CWDS system and EDS system entered in a timely manner for all ELECT participants.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor program compliance with ELECT guidelines and outcome goals as stated in ELECT grant RFA.
  • Networks with community agencies and school personnel and support ELECT Case Workers as the liaison between school/agency for student when student is not able to be present.
  • Ensure completion of comprehensive enrollment requirements including enrolling student in PPT/ELECT MARS and CWDS system.
  • Ensure submission of monthly attendance on or before due date.
  • Is proactive in recruitment/retrieval services of students in need of services.
  • Develop plans of action to correct concerns with staff performance, including requesting TA, training and/or providing corrective action.
  • Maintain a caseload of students from referral to post graduation when needed.
  • Provide all case management duties as described in the ELECT guidelines when needed.
  • Maintain thorough participant records with the required information and documentation by reviewing case files on a consistent basis.
  • Provides services when applicable in school and in the home.
  • Provide academic remediation when needed or secures remediation services for students in need.
  • Enlist the services of community agencies that can provide services to students in need.
  • Collaborates with the CAO in providing services such as but not limited to medical assistance, food stamps, and TANF.
  • Collaborates with outside agencies /schools, holds seats on their boards and provides referral services to the public.
  • Makes self-available to students beyond set working hours.
  • Meet with Coordinator of Lifelong Learning Center to ensure proper supervision of program staff.
  • Supports the Lifelong Learning Center with additional duties with the IDENTIGO and PearsonVue Systems.

  • This position shall be evaluated in accordance with the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Compensation Plan Employees.

Terms of Employment: 

  • Full-Time
  • Up to 1800 hours per year

Physical/Sensory Requirements:

  • This position will require travel throughout Schuylkill and Carbon Counties.
