Candidate will be responsible to set up and operate a variety of woodworking machines (power saws, jointer, mortiser, tenner, molder, router and shaper)while using various hand tools to fabricate and repair wood/metal based garage door sections. The ability to use blueprints or drawings of articles to be constructed or repaired, and plans sequence of cutting or shaping operations to be performed. Trims component parts of joints to ensure snug fit, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files. Sands and scrapes surfaces and joints of articles to prepare articles for finishing. Glues, fits, and clamps parts and sub-assemblies together to form complete unit, using clamps or clamping machine. Bores holes for insertion of screws or dowels by hand or using boring machine. Is detailed oriented, possessing excellent skills with measuring equipment such as tape measure, scales, level and calipers.
